CAIRO – 6 November 2018: Barcelona fans are happy with their team’s recent results, but they are happier now that Lionel Messi’s name appeared on the list of players who arrived in Milan to face Inter at the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Messi suffered an injury during Barcelona’s 4-2 victory over Sevilla at the League Oct. 22, and has since missed four games for the club. However, Barcelona managed to achieve victory in all of them.

“We were scared by Messi’s absence and it's normal that it affected a team like ours. Luckily, we were able to win the games without him and I don't know if he's going to play, but we're happy to have him here," Barcelona defender, Sergi Roberto, told the press ahead of the game.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez regained his form at the right time for the Catalan club as he scored 5 goals at the League, including a hat-trick over Real Madrid and led his team to achieve a 5-1 victory over their arch rivals.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde commented on Messi’s return to the team, saying “he’s happy to be with us, and we’re happy to have him here in Milan. It’s always good to have Leo with us. He could play, but we have to wait until after training and see how he feels.”

Barcelona is leading the group table with 9 points and they need to achieve a victory in Milan to secure qualification to the second round as group leaders.
