CAIRO – 13 August 2018: Manchester City presented a great performance on Sunday in its Premier League opening against Arsenal, as the champions of the 2017/2018 season smashed the hosts, Arsenal, with two clean goals.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s coach, started the game with an attacking plan until his strategy bore fruit at the 14th minute when Raheem Sterling scored from a superb header.

Arsenal’s new head coach, Unai Emery, wanted to regain control of the game by substituting Ainsley Maitland-Niles with Stephan Lichtsteiner who joined the North London team from Juventus this summer, and then replaced Aaron Ramsey with Alexandre Lacazette in the second half to create more attacking solutions.

Emery’s efforts went in vain when Manchester City doubled the score at the 63rd minute by Portuguese Bernardo Silva from a stunning shot.
