CAIRO – 22 April 2018: The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association has chosen Gehad Grisha to arbitrate the Egyptian derby between Al-Ahly and Zamalek scheduled for Saturday, April 28 at Cairo International Stadium.

The Referees Committee settled on Grisha to arbitrate the Egyptian derby between Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the 34th and final round of the Egyptian Premier League as an honor after he has been chosen by FIFA to be among the referees of the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

In the same context, former Wadi Degla coach Ahmed Hossam Mido, who works now as a football analyst, commented on the committee’s decision through Twitter, saying, “Appointing Gehad Grisha as a referee for the derby is a big risk for him before the World Cup; any mistake would affect his confidence.”
