CAIRO – 17 April 2018: Al-Ahly defeated Wadi Degla in the Egyptian League on Tuesday night thanks to a goal from their Moroccan striker, Walid Azarro.

Al-Ahly manager Hossam el-Badry granted some of the reserve players the chance to prove their abilities during the game, as Al-Ahly has already clinched the title since March.

Al-Ahly started the game with Aly Lotfy, Mohamed Hany, Ayman Ashraf, Saad Samir, Sabry Rahil, Hesham Mohamed, Amr El-Solya, Junior Ajayi, Ahmed Hamdy, Mido Gaber and Walid Azarro.

Al-Ahly players dominated the game from the first moment, and Azarro received a pass from Ajayi that allowed him to open the score for Al-Ahly after 28 minutes.

In the second half, Degla players could not break Al-Ahly’s defense, while Al-Ahly players failed to score a second goal despite their chances.

Al-Ahly leads the Egyptian League table with 82 points and they need to win another two games to surpass Zamalek’s record of 87 points in 2015.
