CAIRO – 3 April 2018: Liverpool Dutch defender, Virgil Van Dijk, revealed on Tuesday that he knows the key ways to stop his teammate, Mohamed Salah from scoring but he will not unveil it.

“There are ways to stop him but I'm not going to tell you because I don't want our opponents to think about it," Van Dijk told SkySports.

Salah has had an amazing season with Liverpool scoring 37 goals in all competitions, including 29 goals at the Premier League to be the League top goal scorer with five goals clear.

Van Dijk and his teammates are counting on Salah to help them knock Manchester City out of the UEFA Champions League quarter finals on Wednesday night.

“He's that kind of player that you just need to be on your best. When he is 100 percent and in the zone then he can beat anyone,” said Van Dijk.

Salah scored a late goal on Saturday to lead Liverpool to defeat Crystal Palace 2-1 at the Premier League.

The defender praised the Egyptian winger’s personality, saying “Mo is a great guy and works hard, just like the rest of the guys.”

Van Dijk believes that the spirit between the whole team has been crucial for Salah’s success; he said “Everyone knows our team spirit and without all of us Mo wouldn't have scored his goals. I think everyone in the dressing room is just normal. Nobody feels better than the other.”
