CAIRO – 6 March 2018: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho revealed his happiness after his team returned from a 2-0 loss against Crystal Palace on Monday night to win the game 3-2.

“It was a fantastic match for the people in front of the screen and in the stadium. We had an amazing attitude and very good quality football in the second half,” Mourinho told press after the game.

Andros Townsend opened the score for Crystal Palace after 11 minutes and Patrick Van Aanholt doubled the score three minutes from the start of the second half.

Chris Smalling made the score 2-1 eight minutes later, before Romelu Lukaku scored the equalizer for Manchester United in the 57th minute.

Man United midfielder Nemanja Matic’s strike secured his team’s victory only two minutes before the final whistle.

Despite the victory, Mourinho criticized his team’s performance during the first half, saying, “I don't like my teams to lose organization like we did; we made so many defensive mistakes and I am not only speaking about my defenders. I am speaking about my team generally.”

Manchester United is in second place with 62 points, 16 points behind the leaders, Manchester City.
