CAIRO – 19 February 2018: Zamalek defeated Petrojet 3-1 on Monday in the Egyptian League. Zamalek continued their amazing run, achieving their fourth consecutive victory under their new manager, Ihab Galal.

Zamalek received a penalty after 11 minutes, when Petrojet defender Sameh Abdel Fadil stopped the ball with his hands inside the box.
Mahmoud Abdel Aziz converted it to score his first goal with Zamalek since he joined the club from Smouha.

Zamalek players created many chances to double the score, and Kasongo Kabongo scored the second goal for his team after he received a cross from Abdallah Gomaa.

Three minutes later, Kasongo received another cross from Mohamed Antar to score Zamalek’s third goal in the game.

Both teams failed to score in the remaining minutes of the first half to end it 3-0 for Zamalek.

In the second half, Zamalek players failed to add their fourth goal, while Petrojet managed to score their only goal in the game minutes before the final whistle through Mohamed Shahin, ending the game 3-1 for Zamalek.

Kasongo reached his seventh goal in the league this season to be Zamalek’s top goal scorer in the competition.

Zamalek are at the third position with 45 points, one point behind the second-placed Ismaily.
