CAIRO – 18 February 2018: Michy Batshuayi is having his best form yet as an elite footballer, although he has only played three games with his new club, Borussia Dortmund. The Belgian forward, on loan from Chelsea until the summer, has scored five goals since landing at the Signal Iduna Park.

The 24-year-old admits that it was not easy to be a player for the London team: "Being on the bench, going out to play and scoring a goal and then returning to the bench is not easy for an attacker," he told The Independent.

Although his goal last season secured the Premier League title for Chelsea, the Belgian international only played a single full game with Chelsea that season. Throughout that campaign, Batshuayi played in 20 of the 38 league games, 19 of them coming from the bench.

With his good performances in the Bundesliga and with the World Cup just around the corner, Batshuayi seem like he could be the player Belgium needs.

We will see if in the summer Dortmund makes an effort to permanently sign him or if he finally comes back through the front door to Conte's team, to whom he sent a message after his double against Atalanta in the Europa League. "I do not know if Conte has seen my game, they are focusing on the Premier League (FA cup) and they have an important commitment next week in the Champions League, I hope they do well," he said after the game.
