CAIRO – 11 February 2018: Real Madrid's win against Real Sociedad at the Bernabéu sent a message from Madrid’s players, who have been criticized in recent weeks for their poor performances, to the fans as well to their next opponent in Champions League, PSG.

Despite the win, Benzema has not been able to convince the Bernabéu fans. During the game, he smashed the ball against the post when had several options to score by other means.

In the last minute, Lyon-born Benzema missed a goal opportunity after a great pass from Gareth Bale. This move did not go unnoticed by the ‘Merengue’ fans, who accosted the French forward with whistling.

Next Wednesday, in the same stadium and with the same fans, the Frenchman, will have one of the last opportunities to convince all the ‘Merengue’ fans of his worth.

"I don’t know why it is, but the fans can do what they want. Karim had chances, but for him the important thing is the next game and that his luck will change. He ran a lot... but the fans can do what they want," said Zidane, Real Madrid’s coach, after the match.
