CAIRO – 17 January 2018: The French striker Karim Benzema who has been absent from the team since last December 23 when he was injured in El Clásico against Barcelona, returned to training on Tuesday. He probably participates on Thursday in the game against Leganés, in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey.

After the El Clásico last December, Benzema underwent a medical examination in which he was diagnosed with a lesion in the biceps femoris muscle of the right leg, according to the club at the time.

On Tuesday, the Frenchman returned to the training for the second consecutive day and participated in the first part of the training with the group.

Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane also had youth team’s defender Álvaro Tejero and youth goalkeeper Moha in the training session.
