CAIRO – 7 January 2018: Arsenal coach Arséne Wenger has been banned with three suspension games for what he said to referee Mike Dean after the West Brom-Arsenal game on Sunday, December 31.

Wenger was enraged by Dean's decision when he whistled for a hand ball by Calum Chambers, which allowed West Brom to come out with a draw (1-1).

Wenger will not be able to sit on the bench in the next three games, starting with the FA Cup game against Nottingham Forest. He will also have to pay a fine of €45,000 ($54,000).

Even Alan Pardew, the grateful coach of West Brom, confessed that the penalty kicked by Dean was "severe" for Arsenal.

Wenger still has to give his "observations" about statements he made in interviews after the last two games of his team against West Brom and Chelsea.
