CAIRO - 5 January 2018: Everton manager, Sam Allardyce revealed on Thursday that the club reached an agreement with Besiktas striker, Cenk Tosun, to join the club in January for $36 million.

“We've reached a deal and are at the stage of personal terms," Allardyce told BBC on Thursday.

German born Turkish striker Tosun played a great role in Besiktas successes this year and he led them to round 16 of the UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals in five games in the group stage.

Tosun started his career with Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt. He joined the club when he was just six years old and was promoted several times until he joined the first team at the age of 18.

Tosun represented the club for two years before leaving to Turkey to join Gaziantepspor where he played for three years before signing with the Turkish giant Besiktas.

Everton signed Tosun to replace their summer signing, Sandro Ramirez, who failed to adapt with the team in the last six months. Tosun is expected to add quality to Everton’s attacking line with Wayne Rooney and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
