CAIRO – 27 November 2017: FIFA President Gianni Infantino pledged to take firm action against doping and racism during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Infantino said in a video message posted on FIFA’s official Youtube channel on Monday, "We are expecting clean games on the pitch…When we talk about fair play, we have to speak about anti-discrimination and anti-doping as well”.

He explained that every player in the 32 participating teams in the World Cup can expect to be tested for doping “in and out of competition.”

Talking about racial discrimination, the FIFA President said, “This is a very high priority, and we will make sure no incidents will happen, it is absolutely not tolerable and we will be very, very firm on that, so we can expect fair play in Russia.”

In the FIFA video message, Infantino praised the organizing committee of the World Cup in Russia and said that the ticket sale is going well.
