Cairo – 26 November 2017: Congo's Mazembe were crowned champions of the Confederation Cup for the second time in a row, after a 0-0 draw with South Africa's Super Sport.

Mazembe took advantage of a 2-1 win at home to win the title.

Mazembe also struck a date for the Super Cup against Moroccan Wydad in February.

Mazembe became the second-most capped champion after Tunisia's Sfaxien, who won the tournament three times and lost the final once.

Mazembe won the tournament twice and lost the final once, the same as Étoile Sportive du Sahel.

Mazembe also became the second team to be crowned the Confederation Cup champions twice in succession, after CS Sfaxien, who won the 2007 and 2008 Cups.

Mazembe is also equal to Zamalek in number of Champions League titles with five titles, the second highest number after eight titles for Al-Ahly.
