CAIRO – 18 November 2017 : Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised his team’s Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus. Guardiola predicts a great future for the youngster.

“He reminds me of Eto'o and helps us when pressing like nobody in the area; he is a goal scorer," Guardiola told press on Friday.

Guardiola coached former international Cameroonian Samuel Eto’o in 2009 at Barcelona. They won the Spanish League, Spanish Cup and UEFA Champions League titles that year.

However, Guardiola believes that Jesus still has to improve. He said, “I keep thinking that he runs too much with the ball. When he runs less with the ball, he'll become a player like Ronaldo."

Jesus, 20, moved from his childhood club, Palmeiras, to Manchester City in January 2017 and since then has become a regular player on Guardiola’s starting line-up.

Jesus scored seven goals in the Premier League this season, leading his team to the top of the table with 31 points – eight points ahead of the second place team, Manchester United.
