CAIRO – 2 November 2017: The defeat of Chelsea in Rome (3-0) has complicated matters in London. It enraged the Italian coach Antonio Conte, who after the game complained bitterly of the attitude of his team.

"We think that the rivals fear us for calling us Chelsea. This is not the right way. We have to find the hunger we showed last season, and this season, we've only had it a few times," Conte said.

"This season we've been up and down. If you're a great team, you have to have stability; you have to be consistent, right now. We are struggling a lot to find this kind of balance."

Conte criticized his team, saying, "In the first half we had no luck; it was unfair. The second half was really bad. Roma showed more desire to be the first and win the game. In the second time, I did not see anything positive. When you concede three goals, you must be worried; it means that something does not work," he said.

"We have to work together and take responsibility. My mission is to try to find the best solution. In the second half, we put aside our fighting spirit and mentality, and that cannot happen,” he continued.

Mourinho's Manchester United will visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and Conte hopes that "we will fight and prove that Rome has been an isolated event."
