CAIRO – 15 September 2017: Karim Benzema, Real Madrid striker, revealed that he will not leave “the best club in the world.” He was surprised by reports alleging he is close to leaving the club.

"As an attacker, when you are starting games, you do not need to leave, and even more so at a club like Real Madrid," Benzema said in an interview with BeIN Sports France.

"There is a structure of six or seven players who have played together for a long time, and we also have good young players, We are in our best moment, and in terms of trophies, yes, this is the best team I've played with, and also in pure footballing terms," he added.

The 29-year-old joined the Spanish giants in the summer of 2009 for £31.5m. The French striker has already won a lot of titles with Real Madrid; including the Champions League, a competition in which he has an impressive goals-per-game average.
