CAIRO - 31 August 2017: Moreirense Football Club announced on Wednesday signing Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Sayed, known as Zizo, for three years from Belgian team Lierse.

Zizo, 21 years old, joined Lierse in 2013, where he played three years with the club before joining Nacional Madeira on loan in January 2017.

Zizo can’t wait to start his journey with Moreirense. “I had many offers, but I decided to join Moreirense because of their current coach, Manuel Machado, who brought me to Nacional when he was their coach,” Zizo said to Ryada24.com

Zizo revealed that he had negotiations with Al Ahly, saying, “I am so proud that Al Ahly contacted me, but it was too late; I had already signed my contract with Moreirense.”

Zizo’s spell with Madeira was amazing; the player participated in 13 matches, scoring two goals for the Portuguese team.

Moreirense competes in the Portuguese Premier League. They surprised Portugal when they won the Portuguese League Cup, beating Sporting Braga in the final.

It is good to mention that Moreirense defeated Benfica in the Portuguese League Cup semi-finals and eliminated Porto from the tournament’s group stage.
