CAIRO – 11 August 2017 – The Egyptian national U-16 women’s basketball team faces Angola on Friday in the semi-finals of the FIBA African Championship held in Mozambique from August 5-12.

The junior women's basketball team will meet Angola on Friday in the semi-finals of the African Championship, which takes place in Mozambique. The tournament is a qualifier for the 2018 World Cup in Belarus.

The winner of the game will qualify for the final and book a ticket directly to the World Cup in Belarus, the other ticket will be for the winner from Mozambique and Mali in the semi-finals.

The national team qualified for the semi-final stage after beating Mali in the first round with a score of 66-33, Zimbabwe 55-46 in the second round, Angola in the third round 56-43, and Mozambique in the quarter-final 64-61.

The team includes Nada Yasser, Hana Haitham, Habiba Hatem, Salma Amr, Nour Sherif, Hana Nabil, Injy Salah, Salma Hisham, Fatma Hany, Yara Osama, Malak Khaled and Reem Aly.
