CAIRO – 8 August 2017 - The organizing committee of the U-23 Volleyball World Championship agreed with the medical committee to provide the residential hotels with the medical support.

The residency committee of the U-23 Volleyball World Championship, hosted by Cairo from August 18 to 25, has agreed with the medical committee on the availability of three integrated medical units in the three hotels that will host the participating teams.

The medical committee has settled that each unit must have two doctors, including one for the abdomen and the other for the bones, and providing these units with all the supplies for emergency care. The units will be permanently present at the hotels throughout the duration of the tournament.

Hany Fikri, head of the committee for residency, pointed out that the role of the two doctors is to diagnose and treat all cases that may be experienced by any member of the teams’ delegations or players of participating teams in their residence, other than the role of the doctor accompanying each team.
