CAIRO – 1 August 2017: The Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel Aziz congratulated Sherif Mostafa, president of Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation, after the national team won the sixth African Wushu Kung Fu Championship held in Benin.

In the press statement released on Tuesday, the minister praised the results achieved by the national team as the players managed to take most of the medals in the tournament.

Egypt participated in the tournament that hosted 15 African countries competing for the title; winning the championship places Egypt as a leader of Wushu Kung Fu sports in Africa.

The Egyptian national team was represented by 12 champions: Mohamed Khaled, Islam Naguib, Gomaa Ragab, Ayman Galal, Hagar Ragab, Omar Mamdou, Farida Ali, Islam Mohamed Mohamed, Hagar Mohamed Al Sayed, Ahmed Hassan Abdel Salam, Amr Ibrahim Abdel Rahman, Abdel Rahman Ihab Khair Al Din.

The African Wushu Kung Fu Championship was held in Benin from July 19-24.
