CAIRO –29 July 2017: Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, signed many young players to form a squad that stays a long time with the club, he told reporters on Friday.

“All the players' averages are so, so young; so for the next five, six or seven years, they will be here. The new players have come in, and we know the kind of energy they have to give us a really good chance to fight for the titles,” Guardiola said during Manchester City’s pre-season tour in the USA.

Guardiola spoke about his future with the club, saying, "I will try to remain as long as possible to help; to help City keep moving forward and stay high.”

Guardiola is ready to start his second season in a three-year contract with Manchester City.

Guardiola signed Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy from Monaco, Danilo da Silva from Real Madrid, Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspurs and Ederson Morales from Benfica.
