Egypt faces Malawi in the AFCON qualifiers fourth round

CAIRO, 28 March 2023: Egypt's first team, led by Roy Vittoria, will face Malawi in the fourth round of the qualifiers for the 2024 African Nations Cup, Côte d'Ivoire.
 
The match is scheduled to be at 03:00 PM Cairo Time.
 
The Egyptian national team achieved a 2-0 victory over Malawi in the third round in Cairo,  scored by Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
 
Egypt comes second in the fourth group after Guinea which has 9 points from four matches. While Malawi ranks third with 3 points above the Ethiopian team in third place with the same balance. .
 
The Egyptian national team delegation arrived in Malawi on Monday, after a 7-hour flight by private plane, and the national team performed a training session on the same day at the match stadium, in preparation for the upcoming confrontation.
 
The difficulty of the match lies in its schedule, as it will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon Cairo time, that is, during fasting with the high temperature in Malawi.
 
 
Vittoria accompanied all 24 players to Malawi.
