CAIRO –17 July 2017:International basketball federation FIBA announced on Sunday the schedule of AfroBasket, which will be held September 8-16 in Tunisia and Senegal.

The national basketball team will meet Mozambique on September 8 and will face Senegal on September 9, while South Africa will face the Pharaohs on September 10, according to FIBA.

The organizing committee of AfroBasket is scheduled to announce the schedule of the other competitions according to the results of the preliminary stage.

The draw for AfroBasket, which will be shared between Tunisia and Senegal from September 8-16, has resulted in Egypt being in group D, the matches of which will be played in Dakar, Senegal. The group contains Egypt, Senegal, South Africa and Mozambique.

The first group, which includes Nigeria, Congo, Mali and Cote d'Ivoire, will play in Tunisia. The second group teams, consisting of Angola, Central Africa, Morocco and Uganda, will play in Senegal. The third group, which includes Tunisia, Kenya, Rwanda and Cameroon, will also play in Tunisia.
