CAIRO, 24 October 2022: Al-Ahly team beat Aswan 1-0 in the match that brought them together on Sunday, at Al-Ahly WE Al-Salam Stadium, in the second round of the Premier League. Ali Maaloul scored the goal of the match.
With this win, Al-Ahly raised its score to 6 points, in second place, with a goal difference from leaders Zamalek.
Ahmed Al-Ghandour awarded a penalty kick to Al-Ahly in the 15th minute, as a result of Shady Hussein's obstruction by Aswan goalkeeper Amr Hossam, and Ali Maaloul advanced to shoot it in the 17th minute and scored the goal of the advance for Al-Ahly.
The Swiss Marcel Koller, coach of the first football team at Al-Ahly Club, announced the formation of the team against Aswan in the second round of the Premier League.
The formation of the team was as follows: Mohamed El-Shennawy in goalkeeping, Mahmoud Metwally, Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim and Akram Tawfiq in the defense line, Hamdi Fathi, Ahmed Abdel-Qader, Hussein El-Shahat, Aliou Diang and Mohamed Magdy Afsha in the midfield, Shadi Hussein in the offensive line.
And sitting on the bench are: Ali Lotfi, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Sherif, Bruno Savio, Amr Al-Sulayya, Hossam Hassan, Percy Tau, Karim Fouad and Mohamed Hani.
