CAIRO, 8 August 2022: The Egyptian youth team lost to its Saudi Arabian counterpart 5-3 on penalties in the Arab Cup final, which was held in Saudi Arabia after the end of the original and extra time of the match in a positive tie with a goal for the same.
 
The Saudi team advanced in the 45th minute of the match through Abdelaziz Al-Aliwa, and Salah Al-Basha tied for the youth of the Pharaohs in the 50th minute.
 
The youth team dominated the first half and managed to own the midfield thanks to the movements of Majed Hani, Raafat Khalil, Abdel Rahman Rashdan, and in front of them Salah Pasha and Ahmed Hawash in the attack, but in the last minutes and from one of the counterattacks, the Saudi team succeeded in achieving the goal of progress with a powerful shot from inside penalty area .
 
In the second half, the youth team pressed with full force. Indeed, Salah Al-Basha managed to equalize in the 50th minute from a beautiful ball inside the penalty area, received by the Egyptian professional and hit a strong ball in the Saudi youth goal. Announcing the end of the match in a positive tie and going into overtime.
 
The formation of the Egyptian national team came as follows: "Ahmed Nader El-Sayed, Tariq Alaa, Abdel-Rahman Rashdan, Raafat Khalil, Abdel-Rahman Gouda, Ahmed Hawash, Maged Hani, Omar Fayed, Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Khaled Awad and Salah Pasha."
