CAIRO - 24 June 2022: The games of the 2022 African Men's Handball Championship will be played in full-capacity arenas, Mohamed El Alfy, director of the competition, stated.

Egypt hosts the biggest competition in the continent between 9 and 19 July with the participation of 15 teams. The top five nations in the competition will represent Africa in the World Cup in Poland and Sweden.

Dr Hassan Mostafa Hall and October international hall will host the games.

The competition was initially scheduled to be hosted by Morocco but the Confederation of African Handball decided to replace the hosts of the 2022 and 2024 competitions, Morocco and Algeria respectively, as the two nations threatened to boycott the competition when hosted by the other country amid the political crisis between the two countries.
