CAIRO - 11 June 2022: Egypt national team captain Mohamed Salah will not travel with the team to South Korea as the Pharaohs face the Asian giants in a friendly on Tuesday.

Salah's muscular injury that forced him to miss Egypt's defeat to Ethiopia in AFCON qualifiers also ruled him out of the trip to South Korea.

Also, Omar Marmoush, Stuttgart's winger, is not available for the trip due to muscle fatigue.

In addition to Salah and Marmoush, the Pharaohs will play the game without many key players like Mohamed Elneny, Ahmed Hegazi, Hamdy Fathy, Imam Ashour, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Ayman Ashraf and Ahmed Fattouh.

Ihab Galal's men need to put on a strong performance when they face South Korea after a disappointing performance in their first two matches under the command of their new coach.

This game could be Galal's last game as the manager of the Egyptian national team as the EFA board members are discussing his future after the loss to Ethiopia.

Egypt will face South Korea for the first time since 2005 when Egypt achieved a 1-0 win over South Korea in Seoul thanks to a goal from Emad Moteb.
