CAIRO-19 March 2022: Carlos Queiroz, Egypt national team coach, has named his squad for the two crucial games against Senegal in the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-offs.

Al Ahly’s Mohamed Magdy Afsha was named in the squad after being ruled out of the Pharaohs’ list that participated in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Omar Gaber, Yasser Ibrahim and Nabil Emad “Donga” returned to the squad while Mohamed Sherif, Al Ahly’s striker, and Tarek Hamed, Zamalek’s captain, have been left out of the squad.

The Pharaohs host Senegal on Friday night at Cairo international stadium in front of 60,000 fans while the return leg will be played four days later in Senegal.

Goalkeepers:

Mohamed El Shenawy, Mohamed Abo Gabal, Mohamed Sobhy

Defenders:
Omar Gaber, Omar Kamal, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Mahmoud Hamdy “El Wensh”, Ayman Ashraf, Ahmed Fattouh, Mahmoud Alaa

Midfielders:
Mohamed Elneny, Imam Ashour, Amr El Soulia, Hamdy Fathy, Afsha, Donga, Ahmed Sayed Zizo

Strikers:
Mostafa Mohamed, Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”, Omar Marmoush, Marwan Hamdy and Mohamed Salah.
