CAIRO-22 January 2022: The Pharaohs have been handed a tough draw against Senegal in the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-offs.

The draw was held on Saturday afternoon in Cameroon's city of Douala. Former Senegal striker El Hadji Diouf and former captain of Togo, Emmanuel Adebayor, conducted the draw.

The first leg will be played in Cairo on 24 March and five days later one of the two teams will celebrate reaching the FIFA World Cup in Dakar.

The interesting tie will see a battle to remember between Egypt's captain Mohamed Salah and Senegal's captain, Sadio Mane.

The two friends, who have been sharing the dressing room at Liverpool since 2017, will put their friendship aside for 180 minutes as each captain will fight to deliver his nation to the World Cup.
