CAIRO-22 January 2022: The draw for the play-offs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will be held on Saturday in Douala.

The draw will decide five encounters between 10 of the most successful teams in the continent, who are competing for five spots in the prestigious event that will be held in Qatar next December.

The 10 teams are divided into two levels based on the official FIFA ranking of November 2021.

Egypt comes in the second level alongside Mali, DR Congo, Cameroon and Ghana while Algeria, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and Nigeria are the five teams of the first level.

The draw will see a team from the first level facing a team from the second, with the second leg to be held at the venue of the higher ranked teams.

Egypt reached the play-offs after topping their group in the second round with 14 points, outclassing Gabon, Libya and Angola.

The Pharaohs are looking forward to participate in the World Cup for the fourth time in the nation’s history.
