CAIRO-1 January 2022: Mohamed Salah, Liverpool winger, and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Aston Villa attacking midfielder, will join the Egyptian national team’s camp on 3 January.

The players will participate in the national team’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after finishing their participation with their clubs in Week 21 of the Premier League.

Salah’s Liverpool have a difficult mission on Sunday when they face Chelsea away from home while Aston Villa will take on Brentford in London.

Salah hopes to reconcile Liverpool fans after missing a penalty in Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Leicester City last week while Trezeguet hopes to get his first minutes since his return from injury.

The duo will arrive in Cairo on a private plane on 3 January.

Salah and Trezeguet are leading the Pharaohs squad into AFCON and they hope to put their hands on the trophy after two unsuccessful campaigns in 2017 and 2019.

On the other hand, Mohamed Elneny, Arsenal midfielder, will join the national team’s camp on Sunday as his team faces Manchester City on Saturday in the opening game of the week.
