CAIRO-11 December 2021: Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah hosts on Saturday a classic clash in Arab football as Egypt takes on Jordan in the FIFA Arab Cup quarter-finals. 

 

The Pharaohs reached the second round of the FIFA Arab Cup after finishing at the summit of Group D following a fierce battle with Algeria while Jordan came second behind Morocco. 

 

The two teams have met each other on a total of six games, including two clashes in Arab Cup. The Egyptians have won four matches while the Jordanian side has only one victory against Egypt. 

 

The tickets of the match are sold out and 40,000 fans are expected to watch the match from Al Janoub Stadium stands. The venue of the game witnessed a huge turn out from the Egyptian fans on Tuesday when it hosted Egypt's last group stage game against Algeria, which ended in a 1-1 draw. 

 

The winner of the game will reach the semi-finals to face Tunisia, who defeated Oman on Friday 2-1. 

 

The game starts at 5:00 PM.
