CAIRO, 1 December 2021: Al-Ahly Club faces the Mexican team Monterrey in the quarter-finals of the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, to be held in the UAE next February.
Al-Ahly’s confrontation with Monterrey in the Mexican Club World Cup is the third in history, as the two teams met twice before and was also in the Club World Cup, and Al-Ahly did not taste victory over the Mexican team, as it lost the first two matches.
One ended with a 2-0 victory; and the other match ended by 5-1 victory for the Mexican team.
Al-Ahly club, representing the African continent, will participate for the seventh time in its history in the upcoming Club World Cup, after winning the African Champions League title for the tenth time in its history at the expense of the South African team Kaizer Chiefs.
