CAIRO-30 October 2021: Al Ahly volleyball announced on Saturday the signing of US international Garrett Muagututia for one season.

The 32-year-old player has an outstanding career and he was one of the US squad that won the bronze medal in the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

“I am very excited to be here at Al Ahly. It is a well-known club and I cannot wait to start my journey with the Masters. Everything is great here; the club, the organization, the team and the coach.” Muagututia said after signing his contract.

The Red Devils are trying to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season as they faced criticism from their fans following the loss of the Cup title last season against arch-rivals Zamalek.

Muagututia added ““Playing in Africa is different from anything that I have experienced throughout my career. It is only my first days but so far so good. Training with the team has been awesome. The players are great and they are very welcoming to me.”

Muagututia is the third player to join Al Ahly’s volleyball this summer after adding Mohamed Asran and Mohamed Mohsen.
