File- Zamalek defeated Al Ittihad to win the league last season
CAIRO-14 October 2021: The Egyptian Basketball Federation announced on Thursday that the Egyptian Basketball Super Cup games will be played on Monday 1 November.
The second edition of the Egyptian Basketball Super Cup will be played at Dr. Hassan Moustafa hall in 6 October city.
Zamalek, the Egyptian League champions, will face Al Ittihad, the Egyptian Cup champions, in the men's Super Cup while Sporting Ladies, the league champions, will take on the cup champions, Al Ahly in the women's Super Cup.
The two games will bring back the memories of last season's Egyptian League finals when Zamalek won the series against Al Ittihad 3-2 to win the league title.
The same happened in the women's league when Sporting won the series over Al Ahly ladies 3-2 to secure the league title.
Al Ittihad achieved the title of the first edition of the competition last season after defeating Al Ahly while Al Ahly ladies won the women's Super Cup last season after defeating Heliopolis.
The two matches will be played behind closed doors.
