CAIRO - 10 July 2017: Nasser Zahran, the squash coach of Al Ahly club, has signed with Karim Abdel Gawad, the world champion and the world’s number two, to support the team in the new season.

Al Ahly announced on its official website on Sunday that Zahran also signed Mustafa Asal, Egypt’s champion for the U-17 competitions, along with Ziad Saqr and Yathrib Adel.

Abdul Gawad is scheduled to train with his fitness trainer on the squash court in Al Ahly after finishing the details of the deal, he will also train at Cairo Stadium with Omar Abdel Aziz, his coach, Youm 7 reported.

Signing Abdel Gawad came as he is one of the most talented squash players and will participate in various international tournaments holding the Al Ahly name. He is expected to be an extension of Amr Shabana, the former Al Ahly player, former world champion, current national team coach and legend of Egyptian Squash.

Karim Abdel Gawad and Mustafa Asal moved from El Gezira club, meanwhile Ziad Sakr joned from Al-Shams club, and Yathrib Adel from Heliopolis club, Al Ahly’s official website reported.
