Al Ahly announce three new signings

CAIRO-27 August 2021: Al Ahly announced on Thursday the signing of three new players that will join the team, starting from next season.

The Red Eagles started the day with announcing the signing of Egypt U-23 Olympic team player Karim Fouad for five years.

The player is one of the most promising talents in the country and he can play as a right-back or left-back.

Two hours later, the club announced the signing of Mozambican winger, Luís Miquissone, from Simba of Tanzania for the next four years.

Al Ahly fans know the player from his impressive performance in the CAF Champions League competition last season.

Miquissone scored the winning goal to lead his team Simba to defeat Al Ahly 1-0 in the group stage of the competition. Since that game, the player has been connected to the club.

Also, the Red Eagles announced the signing of Percy Tau of South Africa from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion for four years.

Tau will reunite with Pitso Mosimane, his former manager at Mamelodi Sundowns, and he will be working alongside a coaching staff from South Africa.

The club’s head of marketing and transfers, Amir Tawfik, stated that the club did not finish their business in the market and they will add more players in the next days.
