CAIRO-19 June 2021: CAF Champions League title-holders Al Ahly face Tunisian giants Esperance in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals at Hammadi Agrabi Stadium in Rades.

Al Ahly are three matches away from securing the prestigious title for the second season in a row and achieving a positive result in Tunisia is the beginning for Pitso Moimane’s men.

Al Ahly head to the game with many absences in the squad as the team’s starting and back-up right backs, Mohamed Hany and Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, are going to miss the game for injuries.

On the other hand, Esperance, who reached the semi-final stage after a heroic comeback against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, aim to repeat the amazing achievement of 2018 when they defeated the Red Devils 3-0, winning the CAF Champions League title.

"Al Ahly against Esperance is a classic Champions League game and we all know the importance of the game, given the history and the ambitions of both clubs and their constant desire to win titles." Mosimane said in the pre-game press conference.

The game starts at 6:00 PM.
