CAIRO-6 May 2021: Al Ahly are expecting another tough test ahead of the Cairo derby when they take on Al Ittihad of Alexandria away from home.

The Red Eagles have been struggling since they won the derby over Zamalek on 18 April, having achieved just 7 points from their last five matches in the Egyptian League.

However, Al Ahly still have a chance to jump to the top of the table as they are second in the league table with 37 points, four points behind the leaders, Zamalek who played two games more.

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane hopes to get the three points from tonight's game to silence critics against the team ahead of the crucial clash against Zamalek on 10 May.

In a good news for Al Ahly fans, the team defenders Badr Benoun and Ayman Ashraf received the green light to be back to the team and they were named in the team's squad for the game after being sidelined due to injuries.

On the other hand, the team midfielder Mahmoud Metwally was named in the team's squad for the first time since 20 August 2020 after his successful recovery from the ACL injury.

The game starts at 9:30 PM.
