CAIRO-30 April 2021: The CAF Champions League draw took place on Friday afternoon and resulted in several strong clashes in the quarter-finals of the competition. 
 
CAF Champions League title-holders Al Ahly will face South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
 
The two teams will meet in the quarter-finals of the competition for the third straight season, with the South African side winning the tie in 2019 while Al Ahly won the tie last season. 
 
The first leg will be played in Cairo in mid-May while the second leg will be played a week later in South Africa. 
 
Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane will face his former team, Mamelodi Sundowns for the first time, after leading them in the last two encounters against Al Ahly. 
 
The South African coach joined Al Ahly in October 2020 and led them to win the CAF Champions League title last season, having defeated Zamalek in the final. 
 
The winner of the clash will face the winner between Tunisia's Espérance and Algeria's CR Belouizdad. 
 
On the other hand, the winner of the clash between MC Alger of Algeria and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco will face the winner between Simba SC of Tanzania and South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
