CAIRO-8 April 2021: Zamalek's defender Abdullah Gomaa will not be fit for Zamalek's last game of the CAF Champions League group stage against Senegal's Teungueth.

Gomaa is suffering from an adductor muscle injury and he will not be ready for the game, according to the club's head of medical staff, Dr. Mohamed Osama.

"I do not think he will be ready for Saturday's game. He is still recovering from the injury and we prefer to wait on his return to avoid worsening his injury." Dr. Mohamed Osama said.

The game will be played on Saturday and the White Knights have to win the game and wait  for Esperance to defeat MC Alger, which is the only scenario for Zamalek to reach the quarter-finals.

Zamalek are third in the group with five points, three points behind MC Alger who come second in the group and the Algerians are the favourites to book a place in the next round.

Zamalek revived their hopes to reach the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after defeating MC Alger in Algeria 2-0.
