CAIRO-27 March 2021: Al Ahly men’s volleyball team achieved an important victory over Tersana away from home on Friday in the Egyptian Volleyball League.

Despite missing their outstanding spiker, Ahmed Salah, the Red Devils dominated the game from the start and won the match in three straight sets.

Al Ahly moved to the top of the table after reaching 31 points and they are two points ahead of their arch-rivals Zamalek.

Al Ahly played 11 games in the competition and their only loss came against Petrojet but Al Ahly’s experienced players bounced back and returned to the top of the table, in their journey to defend their league title.

In the previous fixture, Al Ahly put an end to Zamalek’s unbeaten run and won the derby 3-0 after putting on a solid performance.

The upcoming fixture will witness two tough clashes as Al Ahly will face Smouha on Monday in Alexandria while Zamalek will face Qanah in Ismailia.
