CAIRO – 4 October 2020: The second edition of Egypt Honey Festival will take place from November 18-22, at Orman Park, Cairo, under the slogan "Egypt's Yellow Army," under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The slogan "Egypt’s Yellow Army" was launched after the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Egyptian Health Ministry confirmed that honey is one of the most important immune boosters against the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

The festival includes many activities like workshops and scientific lectures on the most important developments in the honey production sector and beekeeping.

Dedicated to honey producers, the exhibition provides some lectures on marketing sciences to help beekeepers and all those interested to join this promising economic sector. Also, many recreational, artistic and sports activities as well as scientific lectures on the benefits of honey would be presented.

Children will enjoy other activities like the Little Beekeeper, which is a simplified course for children on how to deal with bees, how to differentiate between worker and queen bees, among other topics related to the honey production process.

The Little Beekeeper Activity, was one of the most successful educational activities provided to children in the first session of the festival in 2019.

It is expected that the participation rate will increase this year to about 100 exhibiting and sponsoring companies from the major companies that produce and distribute honey and other bee products, according to Akhbar al-Youm7 newspaper on Sunday.

The 2019 Egypt Honey Festival was attended by 120 Egyptian and Arab companies from Tunisia, Libya, Oman and Yemen, besides an African company from Rwanda.
