Egypt, Senegal mull operating Cairo-Dakar direct flight route

CAIRO – 30 September 2020: Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar received Wednesday Ambassador of Senegal to Egypt Elie C. Bay, where they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of air transport.

 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation Pilot Montasser Mana’a.

 

During the meeting, Aviation Minister stressed Egypt’s keenness to extend cooperation and consolidate relations with brother countries in the African continent. He further ensured the ministry is ready to provide Egyptian expertise in training, maintenance and operating airports to brotherly countries.

 

The meeting also discussed possibility of operating a direct flight route between Cairo and Dakar, which is one of the promising markets in the African continent.

 

For his part, the Senegalese ambassador expressed his happiness with his fruitful meeting, stressing that his country looks forward to more joint cooperation during the coming period, especially in the field of civil aviation.
