CAIRO – 7 September 2020: Egypt’s state-owned flag carrier EgyptAir announced resuming direct flights between Cairo and Accra in Ghana at a rate of two flights per week as of Thursday.

This comes as part of the plan set by EgyptAir to resume international flights gradually to different countries worldwide after a long hiatus due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The national airliner company has also announced resuming flights to Lagos and Abuja cities in Nigeria at a rate of three flights weekly to each one of them as of Tuesday.

EgyptAir is the official airline carrier for the delegation participating in the 2021 IHF World Men's Handball Championship in its 27th round. Egypt hosts the championship during the period from January 13-31, with the participation of 32 teams for the first time in the history of the tournament.
