CAIRO - 16 March 2020: The Ministry of Health announced several tips and guidelines to control the spread of coronavirus (Covid 19), in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization


- The infected person must not leave the house during the entire period of isolation.

- Clean and ventilate the house, and avoid all visits and social activities.

- The isolation must continue 14 days from the date of the last direct or indirect contact with the cases infected with the emerging coronavirus.

- The infected person should wear a mask that fits the face, especially when dealing with a family member, and dispose of it after use by placing it inside a closed bag and throwing it in the trash.

- Cover the nose and mouth while sneezing or coughing with a tissue and dispose of it by placing it in a closed bag and throwing it into the trash.

- Wash the hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or massage hands with an alcohol cleanser.

- Eat meals separately from family members, and follow a balanced diet.

- Drink warm water instead of cold drinks.

- Do not share with the family the use of personal household items such as dishes, cups or towels.

- Your well-used tools should be washed with soap and water, and rubber gloves should be worn during washing.

- All surfaces that are frequently touched such as computers, door handles, home phones, and toiletries should be cleaned

- Do not take too much antibiotics.

- The temperature of the isolated individual should be monitored every 8 hours if symptoms of heavy breathing, diarrhea or high body temperature appear.

- In the event of getting one or all of the symptoms of the disease, call the hotline (105), or go to the hospital immediately to conduct the necessary medical examination, and avoid public transportation and crowded places.

- Stay at least two meters away if you need to mix with family members.

- Use a separate room and bathroom if available.
