CAIRO - 10 February 2020: Tourism Minister Khaled al-Anani announced on Sunday launching several mechanisms to serve the tourism sector, most prominently operating new flights to connect Luxor with Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh at the end of February.

Anani’s remarks came during his third tour in Luxor governorate, where he also announced that the tourism sector will modify the tourist visa system as it will allow tourists to visit Egypt for several years.

The minister said that the ministry launched new lands for tourist and hotel investment in Luxor, Red Sea and various governorates.

"A ministerial committee will solve all the problems related to the tourism sector and will work to further develop the sector," he added.

Also, the government is working to develop Luxor governorate and the Nile corniche in line with its plan to enhance tourism.
