Tourists from 10 countries visit archaeological landmarks in Minya

MINYA, Upper Egypt, Dec 22 (MENA) - Tourists arrived in Minya, Upper Egypt, from 10 countries including Germany, France, Britain, China, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Ukraine, the US and Canada to visit its archaeological landmarks and tourist attractions.

The tourists went sightseeing in Tel el Amarna, Tuna el Gebel and Beni Hasan to view the spectacular relics and admire the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Minya Governor Osama el Qadi asserted that all local bodies should cooperate to render the touristic system in the governorate successful.

Minya includes eight famed archaeological and touristic sites dating back to the Pharaonic, Greco-Roman and Islamic conquest eras, Director of the tourism department in Minya Tharwat el Azhari said.
