Cairo, Egypt 8 October 2019.. Chairman of Samo Foods; the owner company of Abu Auf brand, Ahmed Auf, has unveiled the company’s future investment plans that includes adding 30 more branches of Abu Auf at an investment of EGP 50 Mn, with the total number of branches reaching 150 nationwide by 2020.

Auf detailed that the company was founded in 1976 and over the past 40 years, it has gained experience in the food industry and even contributed in achieving breakthroughs that qualified it to become one of the leading companies in the snacks and natural healthy food products’ industry. With its current strategy of diversion to sustainable organic agriculture, Samo Foods outstands from competition with global brands. In addition, the company has the latest factory for roasting and packaging of the various types of nuts that operates according to the highest international technology standards using nitrogen in packaging to ensure the highest control and quality.

He also revealed that Samo foresees an increase in its coffee production lines of all kinds to meet the needs of the domestic market as well as serving markets abroad, according to a deliberate plan to open new export markets for all products of the company. Furthermore, Auf pointed out that the main objective of the company's participation in the international exhibition of Anuga International for Food and Beverage Industries - Held from 5 to 9 October 2019 in Cologne, Germany, is to stand upon real investment opportunities through which export targets can be achieved abroad and hence providing more foreign currency into the Egyptian market.

This participation comes with high hopes of strong Egyptian representation during the exhibition, especially that Samo will showcase their latest technologies and innovation adopted in their production lines. Additionally, Auf stated that the participation opens doors for trade opportunities and deals that will positively affect the Egyptian economy and paves the way for more Egyptian brands in the field.

Samo Food Industries owns the brand "Abu Auf" which is a leading Egyptian company in the field of nuts, dried fruits, Egyptian dates, coffee and snacks, as well as natural healthy food products. Samo owns more than 120 distribution outlets nationwide, and a fleet of cars for distribution.

On another relevant note, Anuga International for Food and Beverage Industries is one of the biggest and most important exhibitions in the field of F&B. In its 35th edition, Anuga is foreseen to host a number of countries from around the world represented by leading F&B manufactures and distributers.
